  1. I am definitely going to talk to an attorney, but before doing so I wanted to get some other opinions. I know there are some forum members doing business in Texas and thought perhaps they could point me in the right direction. Thanks
  2. I am looking at the Sheriff's auction list and I see that in many cases the Plaintif is the HOA. I understand that if you purchase that property you can't evict the occupants because the law was changed not too long ago (in Texas). My questions are: Is this correct? occupants can't be evicted? Also, if it doesn't make sense to invest in this type of property, why do they even offer it at the auction? As you can tell I am very new to REI. Any help would be appreciated. Aaron
  3. Hello, I am new to these boards, but have been reading them religiously and learning a lot. Brad, I am in Texas and while doing research I found a web page that indicated that after creating your LLC in Nevada you must register with the state in which you will be doing business (in my case TX). They included a list of the filing fees for each state and it showed $750 to register in TX. You mentioned that you don't have to register a foreign corporation in TX. Am I misunderstaing the whole thing? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Aaron
