I make blow up dolls in the likeness of the Golden Girls and other sexy seniors.
Do you take Paypal?? :ninja:

Yes, I actually prefer Paypal since I no longer accept 2 party, out-of-state checks.

There's a lot of ways to get your name out there. Give them to people you meet throughout your day. If your business card has a teaser message (we buy houses at full value!), then you can go to a busy shopping center and leave them on cars. I even put mine on payphones and gas pumps.

Thanks for pointing that one out, just when I thought I was infallible :ninja:  (hope that's spelled right!)

Steve,

BTW, I got the manual on Friday, and have gone through it once so far.  Going to squeeze in another reading tonight between "warm calls."

Do they have a spell checker?

Mine say:

$ Cash Now $

We Buy Houses

[Logo on the left-hand side here:

Green background has a house

with a dollar sign in it outlined in white]

under this, it says:

Fast, Friendly &

Confidential

*these bullets are in the middle of my card

- No Closing Costs

- No Commissions

- Move At Your Convenience

- We Provide Quick Solutions With No Hassles

xxx-xxx-xxxx

Don't spend all your time trying to perfect your business cards.

You could be using that time meeting with sellers and doing deals.

1. Creat a "hook" to get attention (mine is the $ Cash Now $ part)

2. Let everyone know what you do (buy houses....rent to own specialist....consultant...fart sniffer, etc. etc.)

3. How do they get in touch with you?

Phone number, website, etc.

4. Your name is optional. I don't put my name on my cards for certain reasons.

Where to place them?

Anywhere flat.

Hand them out to everyone you come in contact with.

They could either be a prospect or a lead source.

And like Michael says in his manual, "If one thousand cards lasts you more than four or five months you aren't being diligent about giving them out."

Hope this helps.

Nice pic of you, Brian.

We'd look cool drinking beers together on the sidewalk or something.

I'll bring my stick to beat all those chicks off of us...we'll need it.

Not at first though.

Card Titles

Super Extraordinary Problem Solver

Ultra Cool Dude Dealing in Real Estate

Homes Solution Provider

Rent to Own Specialist

Lease Option Specialist

Creative Real Estate Professional

Property Problem Solver

Home Solutions Provider

Home Solutions Professional

Here are some titles I use on my Mortgage cards:

Creative Loan Solutions Provider

Creative Loans Specialist

Specialty Loan Provider

Creative Loan Services

Loan Specialist

Creative Real Estate Solutions

Title isn't as important as the message you convey in the message on your card and in how you explain what it is you do. Sometimes an oft title will get people to ask more questions as to how you can help them, so be creative and have some fun.

Yeah we would. I'm probably going to have to trim my beard once I get my disability check, though (trapeze accident). I'm getting tired of finding old pretzels and small animals tangeled up in it. By the way, first pint of Listerene is on me!

...or Penn and Teller.

TOP THIS:

Penn Gillette and his wife just had a baby girl Friday. Guess what they named her?

(Are you sitting down?)

Her name is "Moxie CrimeFighter Gillette."

I wish this were some sort of joke with a good punchline. Maybe the kid will grow up and punch them both in the mouth for saddling her with that name !

Stick THAT name on your business card ! :ninja:

Ok, you got me. I had to look it up. Judging from what I've heard about Laugh In, that must be a complement. :ninja: We're funny..........Wacka wacka wacka!

Hmm.....I wonder if he's going to wake up someday and think, "That wasn't as good of an idea as I thought it was. He's probably still bitter that his parent's named him after a writing TOOL.

My friend Christie knows Penn & Teller so I'll have to ask her about that. Come to think of it, she's also friends with Carrot Top........

I'm going to get some business cards printed up, but was wondering how we would describe what we do on the cards, ie. property management, lease purchasing specialist, and what would our title be?  I know "real estate investor" conjures up images of someone trying to buy your cow for some magical beans.

Also, does anyone know of online businesses that can print them up cheap?

I just finished printing out my "own" biz cards in my home office last night for both "clients" and "T/Bs", I purchased a program that creates biz cards in seconds and they look very professional WOW! Is only $29.00 ^_^

Since I'm the "I am in control here" type of person, I like to test different titles on my cards to see which ones attract and which ones don't.

My title for both so far is a simple....

my name

Real Estate Consultant

Rent To Own Professional

www.mypage.com (tb's or client's)

my cell

my city & State

my email

This program also creates digital biz cards to attach to every email as well :P

Bev,

As you can see, I am going through all the posts here digging for gold. Would you be so kind as to share the name of the software you use(d) to make your business cards? :D

Phil

Phil, not Bev but... I use MS Publisher. It's really easy and has a bunch of designs to choose from. If you want something a little nicer (not necessary) and don't mind a small ad on the back of your cards, you can get 250 business cards free (you pay shipping) from VistaPrint.com

Thanks for the info, Doug. By the way, being a newbie and all, I have gained alot of valuable insights from your posts on this forum. It's great to see all the terrific support here!
