borrowing money from the US for Canadian projects

Recommended Posts

I have moved to Canada from USA about 4 months ago.

I have an excellent credit history in the USA. I am wondering if I can borrow funds from US sources, say for Canadian REI or for anything else.

Since I am very new to Canada, my credit history has not been established here as yet.

thanks

- Ardy

Hey Ardy,

You might want to contact this Tax Expert. He's one of the specialists that's also apart of my networking real estate group here in Vancouver. Further more, his info is well sought-after. He's been featured in several high profiled newspaper articles as well.

He's been in the real esate business as both a tax specialist and real estaste investor for over 30 years. He has personally bought and sold over 300 properties in the last 30 years or so. If he can't help you, then no one can.

I also understand that he spends most of his time living in the US, but here's his Canadian contact info.

I hear that he can be difficult to get a hold of (depending on his schedule), so be persistent. It will be worth the wait!

Good luck and let us know how it went!

WCG,

Thank you for that information. I appreciate it.

I'll send him an email and wait for his response.
