Many of us know that there is no such law. However... The government can jail you for life without charges, without a trial, and without a lawyer. They can also freeze your funds and assets without prior notice or appeal. The only way to be ignored is to virtually drop out of the system, meaning no property ownership (cars, houses) and no bank accounts. If that's an impractical option, then we are convinced to "participate." If you acquire property but fail to understand the basics of taxation, the government will rob you blind. There are reports of pensions being taxed at 125%. Happy retirement! It is necessary to set your affairs up correctly if you expect to keep the fruits of your labor. For instance, when you acquire enough real estate, you can effectively "zero" out your federal income tax burden. Naturally, they will have their hand in another - bigger - part of your pie; it just won't feel quite so much like rape anymore.
