It looks like Craigslist wants to encourage abusive flagging of posts.

Craigslist is like a virus and I am like an anti-virus software, in other words..

When Craigslist comes up with new ways of making posting harder for the rest of us honest hard working people, I need to come up with even harder ways for Craiglist to stop me from making a living (posting there)

I can understand why Craigslist does what it does and I'm sure they have a very good reason for doing it, but is not fair that all of us should pay for others abuse.

 

I now have a way of doing the following without abusing nor breaking any of Craigslist policies...

 

- Create an ad on CL that will stick and not get flagged

- How to tell instantly after posting an ad on CL if my ad was accepted or not before I even publish it nor have to wait 15 minutes to see if it shows on CL.

- Create an ad on CL that will not get "ghosted" (these are the ads that we publish but they never show up.. I call them the "sucker ads" )

- Create an ad on CL that can tell me WHO is flagging me and I can flag them back (I don't care about this one)

- How to work with the Phone Verification with lots of different ph numbers (Real Estate section is not affected in my area -yet- with this policy ) wooohooo!

- X-Treme IP secrets when posting on CL (this is too sensitive to even talk about it but I can tell you it works not only for posting on CL but also works from getting hackers away from your computer and stealing your identity and from having every website you visit from keeping all your personal info without your knowledge, and most importantly this also stops SPAMMERS from harvesting all your email addresses to send you SPAM every hour )

For those of you who aren't aware of this site online that's way higher ranked than craigslist and with Over 17 million people a month visiting this site, I'll tell you about it right now.

As I've always said in the past, I usually place ads on high ranked sites not because of its audience, but because of the search engines indexing my ads.

 

There's this site that is FREE where you can place your marketings in a sort of flyer format (pdf) or one page document.

The entire page is dedicated to whatever you're advertising (pdf, etc) with unlimited pages. Some people only write 3 lines of text on the entire page and that's it lol.

 

Anyway, people upload their files there of any topic such as Poems, real estate, jokes, business opportunities, for sale, personals, house wanted, and of course lots of brochures from people selling their houses or buying houses (agents etc)

 

I know some of you already know about this site but for the rest of you who don't know it, is time to meet it... its name is http://www.scribd.com and remember is FREE and extremely HIGH ranked with over 17 million people a month visiting it!

 

I think I'm falling for this one.

I've used Scridb to "send" people documents instead of attaching them to emails or faxing, it's very handy for that. I haven't spent much time there to understand how to use it for marketing.

is anyone marketing to other niches like bankruptcy, divorce, or probates to find leads that might have less competition? before nod's were my bread and butter now it seems like we have to compete with lenders offering more incentives for the owners to stay than they were before 2008. last year doing mailings i was working on 4 or 5 deals every month, now i am down to a 1-2 from the same list. although now my website is picking up the slack, i want to get back to working a hand full of deals, because it takes at least 10 motivated sellers to pan out one deal at least.

FREE Publicity Never Hurts

 

If you don't already know about this, there is a site out there from a group of reporters requesting for sources to write about.

It can be anything as long as they have a daily story to write about or talk about. (radio, news paper etc)

A friend told me about it and I signed up (free) as a prospect source in case they need stories they need to write about.

 

The way it works, is they send me 3 emails daily with requests from a bunch of reporters in need of specific topics for them to publish and if I feel one of those topics includes what I do, I then reply to their request and they then publish it or broadcast it.

My friend already got one of her stories published and she is so thrilled. The topic was tax related and she of course gave some tips and got to talk about herself and her e-store business online which also got published (free publicity of this magnitude can only mean one thing).

 

I get swamped by reports from this site with their request every day, I can't even keep up reading them all LOL

To give you an idea of what they are in need of, here's a small list from the 10;s and 100's requests I've gotten so far haha!!

Here are some TIPS about getting the search engines (Google) to notice us and tell the world about us :-)

(for those whom been asking for this information also)

 

Yes, you can submit your websites to 100's of engines manually or via software, but for our websites to make it to google or any other major search engines takes up to a year after submitting it. (yes, it takes this long to see results)

 

But that's okay, submit them anyway as a yr goes by FAST anyway!

 

Meanwhile, if you want to speed up the process and get your websites to major search engines (Google) pronto, then

here's my personal point of view on how to successfully go about it.

(prepare to do some reading/searches on some of these techniques below if you're not familiar with them)

 

Content is KING! In other words content is what the search engines look for first on any site.

For example, if your site is about “rent to own homes”, make sure and use those words plenty of times on your site because if you use words such as “ I can help you find a home, or no down payment, or bad credit ok etc “ than this site is not rich in content and search engines won't go for them.

 

Also, once you've included the RIGHT content to your sites, the most important thing is that you name your page with the same content name . For example <title> Rent to Own Home In Montgomery, Alabama </title>.

Most people tend to give their webpages name such as “page 1”, “house1”, “main page”, etc etc. These will kill any search engine's interest.

 

But it dosen't stop there, to make your web site's even stronger and richer, you must also name your 'FILE' the same as your page's content and the same as your page's title. Exapmple... rent_to_own_home_in_montgomery_alabama.html

If you use all three techniques together on each of your sites, then you have a rich and strong content site and engines will find you.

 

When you have created and finished all of the above, create a sitemap and robot.txt file and submit them to search engines (google and yahoo), if everything was done successfully, your sites will get indexed correctly within 24 hours of submisssion. ... Here's more info on this CLICK HERE

 

Searh engines LOVE content to death and the best places these search engines find their content are in places such as MySpace, Facebook and all the other major Social Netwroks online.... Why do engines love social network?

Because these sites are loaded with BLOGS and is all in ONE place.. so instead of google going from site to site searching for content, they hang around these social network places because is all there for the engines just for the asking... thousands of people join social networks daily for this purpose so that the search engines can find their pages FAST and get them on google fast.

 

Social network is now being used like a magnet to search engines which is why new social network are being birthed every minute of every day these days. In fact, these sites are so powerful that they are even PAYING their members to join them and “blog” on these network to attrack the search engines. I just joined one that pays 80% of its world advertising revenue to all its members! Use YOUTUBE to promote your biz/product and website.

Youtube is owned by Google, so you can see why google would choose your site first over the rest

Place your URL on the Youtube's “more info / description” box. (this is extrememly powerful)

 

Another powerful way of getting Google's attention to your site or product is to upload any file about your services or product to high traffic places such as Scribd

 

I have uploaded some files on that site (Scribd) and let me tell you.. I'm glad I did as the search engines are all over me with my file haha

 

Here are other very powerful TIPS for getting your sites noticed by search engines.....

 

1] Use (free) Amazon discussion forums at the bottom of bestseller pages in your niche area. Discuss a book or current issue in your niche BUT on the bestselling individual books pages only. You can find this near the bottom of the page under the area called “Customer Discussions”. Google seems to love posts in these discussions. Make sure that your Web address and your favourite (Google) keyword search terms are in your post. You need a normal Amazon buyer’s account to participate of course and Google will pick up your post in under 15 minutes.

 

2] Make (free) comments in your niche areas on the MOST VIEWED articles on ezinearticles dot com. Again, most viewed articles in your niche only, add constructive keywords-related comments and you are given a link on your name (no backlink though) but this is a very Google friendly site (Alexa ranking of 319!)

 

3] Most press release Web services charge lawyer-like money but www dot prlog dot org and www dot freepressreleases dot co dot uk are free and picked up by Google quickly

 

4] Having a personal blog might be good but aggregating blogs (which all feature your landing page/s URLs and keywords) by automating their transmission across the web on hundreds of sites is much better. Go to http://www.google.com/support/news_pub/bin/ (free registration to use).

 

7] If you have a book out, make sure it is submitted to Google Books - a service where they allow readers to look through a percentage of submitted books. If you only have an e-book, you will need an ISBN number but it is worth it. Caveat: Google Books is very slow to process submissions but the SE ranking for these pages is very high (go to https://books.google.com/partner/ ).

 

All of the TIPS above, when applied correctly, will bring “Organic” visitors to your sites which should be our goals.

On another note.....

I'm just wondering how many of you out there use this one site I'm sure most of us are aware of for marketing (Trulia).

What I didn't know about this site is that they have a very powerful, active and LOCAL forum about real estate.

No biggie right?

Well, I was there today and am shocked to see how many people (locally) are asking questions about lease purchase because their house is not selling.

There are also people asking lots of questions about needing help doing lease options on their homes. WOW!

And I also found lots of people requesting for any rent to own homes they can move into.

Of course all these questions are being answered by a gazillion agents on the forum but I've also seen one or 2 investors helping out.

But the beauty of it is that anybody can register for free to participate on this forum and have your page link on your zig.

My favorite part is that is LOCAL (just put your zip code on the search box and you'll access your local forum of people in need of your services ASAP)

 

I don't know if this is only for agents or not, but if is open to the general public then I see great potential there in those forums not only for finding local

deals but for page rank and the priceless SEO benefit as well.
