Hart 1 Report post Posted December 19, 2012 Working toward my first deal. Should I try to partner with someone who can find a tenant/buyer and/or show the home? Should I work with a realtor or mortgage broker who is experienced in qualifying people based on credit, criminal background, etc. Or should I do this all myself? MichaelC 160 Report post Posted December 20, 2012 Hart, I believe that if you want to learn this business you have to work this business. Do the "dirty work" now and gain valuable hands on experience. In time, as you become more knowledgeable and a bigger fish, then you can start to hire out some of the busy work you no longer want to do. Certain things may require the help of someone else. Using a mortgage broker, for example, to qualify a potential t/b. But things like taking calls and showing the property are a must for the new investor, in my opinion.
