TomK 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 Does anyone know if you can do a sandwich lease option in North Carolina? I was told by a realtor that they are illegal.
MichaelC 160 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 Hi, Tom, and welcome to The Naked Investor.Yes, you can definitely do lease options in NC, including sandwich lease options. The Realtor is wrong. Lease options are not illegal in NC, or any state for that matter. Fellow board member Steve is in NC and has been working lease options deals for years. He may come along and chime in, or you can contact him directly.
<Steve> 82 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 Hey Tom- Sandwich lease option are not illegal here in NC, but they are State regulated. Check out the "Home Owner Home Buyer Protection Act" passed in 2010.
MichaelC 160 Report post Posted April 3, 2014 "State Regulated" "Permission from the State" or " State Manadated" sounds so old Soviet Union doesn't it.. . .or the new USA.
