ErikOk 10 Report post Posted December 5, 2012 Anyone ever used http://www.youcheckcredit.com/ ? I have emailed them some questions, but would like to hear from others here if they have experience with the company. Any other recommendations for companies? I notice a lot of the companies these days require proof such as: Realtors/Brokers- copy of both driver’s license and professional license Landlords/Property managers- copy of both driver’s license and proof ofownership of rental property (Tax bill, Deed, Mortgage Statement) Seems like sort of a pain with lease purchasing (CA or Sandwich). ErikOk 10 Report post Posted December 5, 2012 I'm wondering if it might be easier just having the tenant/buyers go to www.annualcreditreport.com and get the credit report for me. Has anybody here done this?
MichaelC 160 Report post Posted December 7, 2012 Erik, as we discussed via email, with Identity Theft being the fastest growing industry in America, (why don't we export that to China?), it's not as easy as it once was to pull someone's credit. That said, a Google or Bing search will produce a multitude of companies you can contact to find out what they offer and what they require. And, yes, you can request the t/b pull their own report and provide that to the homeowner. Just make sure it isn't a Photoshop edition.

pilot76180 51 Report post Posted December 19, 2012 If I do a background search....it's just to have fun.I can see a tri-merge and tell what's going on...but, I like Advantage Tenant, as they have the 3 repositories as well. Believe it or not, if you can remove the emotional equation of your "option fee"...if you meet people...and you aren't also a freakin loser....you can pick them out.... MichaelC 160 Report post Posted December 20, 2012 If I feel skeptical enough about a t/b prospect that I'm compelled to run a criminal background check, that's all I need to know I probably don't want 'em.If only I trusted my instincts when I got married. . .sigh
