There's a new kid in town.  Still in beta but showing much potential for transacting real estate deals without the need for Brokers, Agents, and commissions:

I agree, Chris.  It will be interesting to follow the growth and acceptance of AllRe.com.  At first glance it is a good idea and I want to see how Brokers and Agents fight this.

I think it might be kinda hard for a site like this to get traction, since it would require a leap of faith on the part of sellers, and in large enough numbers to make the site useful to buyers.

Difficult, yes, but not impossible.  Aggressive marketing, some happy FSBOs, and it goes viral.  Voila!  The Facebook of the real estate world. . .well, that might be an exaggeration. ^_^
