Text Messaging

Recommended Posts

I just wonder if this will be a new way too market. I set up a site called www.afreetext.com to see what kind of action it wold get and my goodness... I actually can send a text to thousands of people explaining that I buy houses with my business card attached for hardly any cost....

Brings spammming to a whole new level.

texting seems to be about texting in... However texting out seems to be the ticket... my yellow letter cost 1.19 each however I can send a text yellow letter for pennies... Just thinking out loud...

Gotta love the ability to send pictures from your computer

sent you a message of "I noticed you are selling a home on craigslist. I dont want to waste your time. If you would consider a rent to own please call me thank you. Number is 555-1212" although youre using a subprime carrier so pictures arent allowed. It works great. if youre with att verison tmobile sprint which encompass 92 % of the crowd.

Have you compared the response when using picture messages vs regular text messages?

This is a new area of marketing I've never tried before, but I actually found text messaging to be the best way to communicate with the last tenant/buyer I worked with... so I'm open to trying text messages to communicate with sellers as well! B)

I'm not sure about sending picture messages, but I know you can also send text messages with Google Voice for free ;-)

if able to send a mass text (a text to a lot of telephone numbers at once) how many numbers at a time would you consider approperate. understanding that there has to be limits on anything.

so under a hundred would be appropriate? and what about the ability for the contact to text you back, would that be cool?

I would think that would be a necessity, no? If someone receives a text, the first response will in all likelihood to a text reply. If the text directs them to your website or some other such thing, I think that would reduce the effectiveness of your marketing.

Hard question to answer, Mike. Depends upon any competition for your product and the public's perceived value of it.
