Once again I am back to this sign business. I know I've been trying to push this bandit sign campaign going, but the cost was just too high. to get 400 signs I will need to pay $1000, and on top of that I need to pay people every week to go out and post them, my estimate would be additional $75 per week. An 8 week campaign would cost me $1600 total. That's a huge jump from $0 internet marketing I've been doing.

Alternatively, I've also thought of making my own signs, which would probably cost me $350 for 400 signs, and also more time. But then the weekly cost to hire someone would go about $100 per week, because hand made signs are harder to put up. An 8 week campaign I estimate would cost me $1150 total.

Now I haven't tried neither because I don't know which one works better, and I simply don't have time to do signs myself anymore because I am so busy, any hints?

Daniel, it's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other, as the saying goes.

Bandit signs are very effective, but you need to put them out in numbers and be persistent. Putting out 20 signs and forgetting about them is futile. The general consensus is that when advertising for homeowners, professionally made signs are preferred, while hand made seem to be the way to go when fishing for tenant/buyers.

In addition to Matthews choice of http://www.dirtcheapsigns.com, you should also look at the pinned post at the top of this forum for signs and pricing at Witness Designs. The link in the first post is a special price, (10% off, I believe), than if you were to go to their site directly.

Someone suggested going to a printer and asking if you can stop by every week or two and recycle their corrugated plastic signs for free. That's from Lindsey Kinnsch in San Diego. She has more free signs than she can use.

How would that work? Are you talking about blank, left over pieces of corrugated plastic? Or unused printed signs that you would somehow put to use?

great, I can start a recycling business on the side. And use that to laundering money I picked up from L/O.

p.s.

To: FBI, CIA, IRS, CRA, that was a joke.
