This afternoon I went to a Internet Marketing Seminar more or less it was a huge sales pitch on there product. They did teach some SEO stuff what was good. But it was about setting up an online store with all types of software integration. Package price was 6k. Well the friend that brought me was there. He doesn’t have a computer and uses the one at the library. Since I was his guest they did not hound me that much. What I saw was really sick in my opinion. It was what I call DREAM CATCHERS. They were using sales tactics that I thought were horrible. When we left they had a meeting with everyone that bought the package. I estimated about 50 people bought the package.

Now don’t get me wrong I am sure with the shopping cart and back end database along with merchant accounts and research tools are well worth it. It was similar to Amazon if you know what I mean. But man these guys were rough. They sure did call on the wrong guy when they asked to speak to my friend. 1st of all he has no money, no computer, no job. But I can say the lemonade and cookies were good. It is slime balls like I heard that makes me sick about being in sales.

I've been into the internet marketing gig for the past couple of years now.
Tons of competition, hence the reason I've switched gears.
I'm now marketing online for offline businesses (SEO and email)
Easier, less competition, and you can basically write your own checks...well, your
clients write the checks, but you can get them almost instantly.

Thats allways something to look foreward to. smile.gif I recently listened to a CD by this great negotiator by the name of Rodger Dawson who I highly reccommend. Far from a slime ball.

The idea of internet marketing has always intrigued me. I have been learning it little by little with real estate along with the way other business promote there business offline. I found a guy named Jim Cockrum who has a few ebooks and websites on the subject. Even has a newgroup called offlinebiz.com which is pretty good, I suppose. He sells a membership which I don't belong to.

About the only thing I am doing offline for online is a few things on ebay. Trying to get these diabetic strip inventory up. But its a challenge. I can't keep enough supply. I need to get it up to 100-300 boxes per week. But that is the challenge. smile.gif

Yeah, I've been a member of offlinebiz.com. Been tempted
to see what the Gold Membership is about.
Localbizbuilders.com is also another great forum.
Maybe the best on the topic.
