I had a discussion with a local Realtor friend who's offering to help sell some of my CA's. I wasn't sure what's a decent amount to give to him, provided he finds me buyers for properties he lists for me. Is there a standard fair amount that you all would say is substantial? Im collecting a 3.5% option fee. I'm just not sure how I could make this a benefit to both parties. He's also giving me some expired leads, which I promised to list with him if a deal transpires. Is trying to swing the old Wendy Patton approach, working with Realtors, worth mine and his time?

P.S. He works for Vanguard Realty

Dion, ask him what he needs from this relationship to be happy. If both sides are reasonable, and they should be considering you two are friends, there should be an agreeable middle ground. Have some ideas as to what you want, too, and you'll strike a deal.
Is working with Realtors worth your time? You won't know if you don't try. Depends upon the effort both of you put into it. I suspect if you are both receiving benefits, the partnership will forge ahead.
