lhenley 8 Report post Posted March 22, 2013 John Jackson uses the USPS bulk rate postage service to mail his brochures and postcards, but ofcourse, he mails a lot of pieces at a time and tons over a course of a year. Has anyone ever figured out what the break-even number is with mailing bulk rate vs. mailing first class? I know the bulk rate is cheaper, but you have to pay an upfront annual fee, and break down your mailings into zip code groups, and some other things. Is the money savings really worth the extra time? Thanks, Lynn (FL)
MichaelC 160 Report post Posted March 22, 2013 Lynn, I think you answered your own question. It boils down to the number of pieces you mail. I haven't done a work up on the break even point, but I'm sure some techie has a program on their SmartWatch who can answer this for you.
