blu 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2003 I had my first success with buying a property at the foreclosure auction. Got a great deal, fixed it up, and is now rented out with positive cash flow. Unfortunately, it was all LUCK... Can anyone recommend some good real estate books that FOCUS on different foreclosure strategies? Much obliged!!Jon
gone2vegas 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2003 Jon, Why was it luck? How did you end up winning the auction? What area of the country are you in? In my neck of the woods(So. Cal) there is one guy who has tons of cash and outbids everyone at the auctions. He'll even overbid just so nobody else wins any auctions. I've been to several auctions and witnessed properties selling for close to and over FMV. As for books on foreclosure strategies try here
Bill_Hubbell 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2003 For basic information on working foreclosures you might read "How To Pick Up Foreclosures" by Wade B. Cook. Joe Kaiser has a good course on the subject. I recommend that you read the first 300 posts of the Utahinvestor origianlly written on the Advanced Real Estate Investing forum at Richdad.com. You can find them at http://walkerz.com/ui/ Hope this helps!Bill
