BEV! 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2005 I don't know about the rest of ya'll, but I had never heard of this before (dream home raffles), until few days ago on the news.There's a brand new house (sortta manssion) in Sacramento selling raffle numbers for only $100 and the beauty of it is that they are only gonna sell 12,000 numbers!! The builders are donating these houses to collect money from the raffle that will go to charity for the childrens hospital cancer research (or something similar to this), I also suspect that these has been happening for a long time Nationwide.Anyway, I've been searching the net for days trying to locate this raffle in Sacramento to buy some numbers for myself and at the same time contribute to charity but I just don't have the patients when I don't get what I want when I want it!You should see all the results I get when I do a search on "dream house raffle bla bla bla" on yahoo or any other engine, it gives me too much junk casino stuff results... anyway, if you know where I can find this particular page for this one HUGE size brand new home raffle, please share it There's a dead line for this raffle, so the heat is on. Who wouldn't risk $100 for the chance to own a $1.2M home? And the odds aren't nearly as bad as playing the lottery.Good luck finding the info. My search came up empty.the heat is on. BEV! 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2005 I called the phone number given on the news just few minutes ago on TV, and I got an insurance company telling me that they've been getting lots of calls like this and they're in WA, they claim that the TV news is unknowingly giving out the wrong phone number...Errrrrr!!! I can find just about anything as long as I have something to go on. I managed to find this naked site here, which I must say seems to be the best of the bunch from my research. Anyways, when I searched for a raffle near my zip it gave me nothing, but said that sometimes due to local laws they are not permitted to advertise on their site. I just got off the phone with these properties and found out that the "Chico house's raffle" date is this Sudnay!! I bought my ticket on the spot! And get this, they've only sold 7K tickets so far but no matter what, they'll raffle it on Sunday! Wow!Anyway, I've always wanted to donate to the childrens hospital and what better way than to make my 3 charity contributions today (every house)I mean, what's the worst that can happen? Even though some of it was stuff I had read before, it's just nice to have something you can hold in your hand. Looks like it's time to get this train in motion. My plan is to have at least one deal closed by the end of July. By closed I mean completed on both sides, with a tenant/buyer in place and cash in my hand.
